Sirb

Sirb is a geometric design that looks like a flock of birds. I created it in 2023. It consists of 6 identical "birds". Each bird consists of 3 identical, 30° rhombuses that have a side length of 1. "Sirb" means "flock" in Arabic.

Observations

• Sirb has 6-fold rotational symmetry and an area of 9.
• Sirb encloses a polygon that has 18 sides, a perimeter of 18, and an area of $$4.5\sqrt{3}+6\approx 13.8$$
• The smallest circle that fits Sirb has a radius of $$\frac{(3\sqrt{6}+5\sqrt{2})}{4}\approx 3.6$$
